Call for Papers

Purpose of the Conference

NGI 2008 focuses on the design, engineering, and operation of Next Generation Internet networks. It is organized by the Network of Excellence (NoE) Euro-FGI that was initiated by the European Commission during the 6^th framework program and will be continued in the next funding period. NGI serves as its main platform for interaction, dissemination, and collaboration. To stimulate discussions, NGI 2008 invites scientists and practitioners from industry and academia, and especially welcomes contributions from outside Euro-FGI. To guarantee the high visibility of the conference, the proceedings will be available through IEEE Xplore.

Original papers on recent advances in next generation networking are invited. Topics of interest are - but are not limited to - the following areas:

Author Guidelines

Publications

The papers are published in the conference proceedings distributed on CD at the conference. In addition, they are published by IEEE Press and made available through IEEE Xplore. Each paper is going to be reviewed by at least three reviewers. The publication of an accepted paper requires the registration of at least one author. One author registration is valid for up to three papers.

Paper Format

Submitted papers must not be longer than 8 pages. The paper must contain a short abstract (up to 250 words), the complete list of authors including affiliations, and keywords. The layout of the papers must comply with the IEEE Xplore standards:

The following templates may be used:

• Microsoft Word template;
• New LaTeX2e style file (Be sure to use \documentclass[conference]{IEEEtran} to obtain 10 pt output);

Paper Submission

All papers must be submitted electronically as PDF files through EDAS. If you are not yet registered for EDAS, you can create a free account by clicking on the link "Create your new user account" on the login page. If you have successfully logged into EDAS, you can go to the NGI 2008 submission page.
